Tell us about your current fitness and when your baby is due, and we’ll send you a weekly program that’ll give you a well-functioning dad bod to help you avoid the pains and focus on the joys of parenthood.

Fatherhood is Physical, whether you're

  • Helping your partner through labor by supporting her body for hours – without your muscles giving out in the first hour
  • Squatting or bouncing your baby up and down to keep them happy – while avoiding shoulder and lower back pain
  • Lifting your baby out of the tub or up off the floor or for a diaper change – and hoping your back doesn’t give out
  • Walking for hours with your baby attached to you – and still having energy to be you at the end of the day.

What You’ll Get

FitFaj is a weekly training plan delivered over email that starts now and ends just before your baby's due date. You'll have the opportunity to reach out to us directly with questions from that email.

Our plans get you started from wherever you are today (whether couch-bound or an athlete), and take you through from flexibility, to fitness, to strength.

Bottom line, we’ll help you find the strength you need to support your partner, your baby, and yourself as you embark on the adventure of dadhood.

What FitFaj Isn't

We’re not going to get you ready for a marathon, or jacked for The Jersey Shores. But we will help you get flexible, strong, and healthy to make sure life with your new baby is awesome.

We won't overwork you, and we'll aim for things that help you build strength and flexibility in a sustainable way, to reduce the chance of injury and support faster recovery.

How much does this cost?

All our plans are a flat fee of $99 USD. The plan will automatically end just before you due date, so that you'll be in peak shape to support your partner and the new family member.

When I sign up, what happens next?

You'll get a confirmation and access to your workout page, which will always show you current and next workouts. We'll be in touch within a few days regarding any specific changes or modifications to your plan based off of your note.

How is this different from a normal program?

FitFaj is focused on helping you develop strength and resilience so that your body is there for all the challenges parenthood brings. From supporting your child, to supporting your partner, we want to help you avoid being distracted by the aches and pains that often come with having a kid.

How are you qualified to give this advice?

All of our plans are created by certified Personal Trainers, and Andrew (the founder) is an ISSA certified Personal Trainer who is also studying to be a Certified Strength and Conditioning Coach.

Do I have to have a gym membership?

The simple answer is yes, or at least access to some weights. However, let us know at your initial signup in your notes. Our plans require access to a gym with a barbell and squat rack, as well as pullup bars. Why is this? Squats and deadlifts are excellent full body exercises that will help build the base you need as a father. Whether it's having the flexibility and core strength to easily lift your child from the floor, or lugging a stroller, car seat, multiple bags, and possibly the baby up four flights of stairs, that type of strength training helps a lot.

I'm becoming a new parent, but I'm not a dude.

We're focused on dads, but we get that not all ‘dads’ and new parents are biologically male. Our programs are designed to help you if you're not the one carrying the child, and get your body transformed to become the best parent you can be.

What if I'm doing a fitness activity that I already love?

Our fitness plans are built around 2-4 day per week regimes, which include opportunities for cross training. Just let us know how many times a week you are doing your existing activity and what it is, and we'll work it into the plan.

Can I cancel if it doesn't work out?

You can cancel within two weeks. After that, we can do case-by-case refunds minus any service charges we incur for processing the refund.

Btw, what's the story with FitFaj?

Andrew: While I'm a Canadian/American dual citizen, I was a resident of Denmark when my son Emil was born. Denmark was the first country I could imagine myself being a dad. The fathers here seemed engaged in their children's lives, looked healthy and happy, and still appeared to have their own lives. There's a lot to be said for the Danish social policies around parenthood, and my hope is that FitFaj can help bring a little bit of that to the rest of the world. As for the name: My wife Ayla and her sister Bre always refer to their dad as Faj when talking about him. When I was building the idea for this app, I nicknamed it Fit Faj and I guess that idea stuck.
